how selling with us works

**Step 01 — Get in touch & free valuation** Send us the basics — make, model, year, mileage and a few photos. We come back with an honest market valuation and a suggested asking price. No obligation, no cost.

**Step 02 — Agree your price & bring it in** If you like the valuation, drop the bike to our workshop in Mtarfa for a hands-on inspection. We agree in writing the minimum you want in hand and our markup on top. The bike stays with us for up to 6 weeks.

**Step 03 — We market it like it's our own** Pro photos, a walkaround video, and honest, punchy ad copy — all on our coin. We list it on our website, our social channels and our buyer network, priced to actually sell.

**Step 04 — We handle every enquiry** Every message, call and visit comes to us. We screen serious buyers, host viewings and supervise test rides so your bike — and your time — are protected.

**Step 05 — Negotiation & sale — your say-so** We negotiate to get the best price above your minimum. We never accept an offer without your approval. Once a price is agreed, we secure the deposit — and if the buyer wants finance, we arrange it through Finance House or BOV.

**Step 06 — Paperwork & your payout** We sort the transfer of ownership and all Transport Malta paperwork. You get paid your agreed minimum the moment the buyer's funds clear — finance or cash — without lifting a finger.

hassle free

Why sell through us, not on your own Selling privately takes weeks of your time and leaves money on the table. We turn your bike into a clean, hassle-free payout.

**Buyers can finance it** Private sellers can't offer finance — we can. As a dealer we arrange buyer finance through Finance House and BOV, opening up a far bigger pool of buyers and getting you paid the moment the finance clears.

**Road-and-track expertise** We know what your bike is worth because we live and breathe this. Sportbikes, nakeds, cruisers, scooters, track toys — we value them honestly and pitch them to the right buyer.

**We deal with the buyers** No weekend tyre-kickers in your driveway. We field every enquiry, screen serious buyers, host viewings and supervise test rides from our Mtarfa base.

**All the paperwork, done** Transfer of ownership, Transport Malta logbook changes, de-registration and re-registration — we've done it hundreds of times. No queues, no forms, no stress.

**All marketing on us** Pro photography, walkaround video, the ad copy, the paid placement — we cover every cost of bringing your bike to market. Not a cent comes out of your pocket.

**A real audience of buyers** Our followers, showroom footfall and muturi malta community are already in the market for a bike. Your listing reaches people who are ready to buy — not just browsers.

FAQ

our logo

**Do I have to leave the bike with you?**

For the best result, yes — buyers want to see and ride it, and viewings are far more efficient from our Mtarfa base. In some cases we can list while the bike stays with you and bring it in for viewings; we'll discuss what works.

**What if I still owe finance on the bike?** Any outstanding finance must be settled before we can sell the Vehicle, and we'll need proof of clearance from your lender. In some cases we can coordinate settlement from the sale proceeds — ask us and we'll work it out with you.

**Can I say no to an offer?** Always. We will never accept an offer that nets you less than your agreed minimum without your explicit approval. You're in control of the price you want in hand.

**How long does it usually take to sell?** We take the bike in for a maximum of 6 weeks and market it hard across our website, social media and buyer network throughout. Plenty sell well within that window; if it hasn't sold by week 6, we either extend by agreement or return the bike to you — no obligation.

**Can the buyer pay on finance?** Yes — and that's a real edge over selling privately. As a dealer we can arrange buyer finance through Finance House and BOV, so a buyer who can't stump up the full cash price can still buy your bike. You get paid the moment the finance payment clears.

**How do you decide the price?** We don't work on a percentage. You tell us the minimum you want in hand, we agree a markup on top, and we sell the bike at the best price we can get above that. Our margin is the difference — so the harder we work it, the more we both earn. We treat it like it's our own.

**What if the bike doesn't sell?** Then you owe us nothing. No sale, no fee — we cover every marketing cost and you're not charged a cent. At the end of the 6-week term we either extend by agreement or return the bike to you.

**Can you detail my bike before listing it?** Yes — we offer a full, showroom-ready motorcycle detail for €100 before we photograph and list your bike. It's completely optional and a freshly detailed bike consistently photographs better and sells faster. Just ask us to add it to your consignment.

**What if my bike needs work before selling?** We'll flag anything we think will hurt the sale. Optional prep work (servicing, valeting, minor repairs) is quoted up front and only done with your approval. A small investment in prep often pays back in a higher sale price.

**Do you buy bikes outright too?** We can, in some cases, make a direct purchase offer for a quick sale — though it will be below consignment sale value since we take on the risk and time. Ask us and we'll give you both options side by side.

How the money works No percentages, no upfront charge, no marketing invoices, and no fee at all unless we sell your bike. You tell us what you want in hand. We do the rest.

**€0 if we don't sell it** — No sale, no fee. Ever.

- **You set the minimum** — The net figure you want in hand.

- **6-week listing term** — We sell it like it's our own.

**How we earn:** You tell us the minimum you want in hand — say €5,000. We agree a markup on top and sell the bike at the best price we can get. Our margin is the difference between your minimum and the final sale price. The harder we work, the more we both make — so we sell it like it's our own. And if the bike doesn't sell, you owe us nothing.

**Buyer finance = faster payout:** Because we're a dealer, a buyer can purchase your bike on finance through Finance House or BOV. You get paid the moment the finance payment clears — no waiting on the buyer to save up the full amount.

**Optional motorcycle detailing — €100.** A full, showroom-ready detail before we photograph and list your bike. Ask us to add it to your consignment.

*Your minimum in-hand price and our markup are agreed in writing up front, before any marketing begins. Nothing is sold without your approval of the final offer.*

terms and conditions

These terms apply to Muturi Malta's consignment (sale-by-proxy) service. By consigning a Vehicle with us you confirm that you have read and agree to them. "We", "us", "Muturi Malta" means the Agent. "You", "Seller" means the legal owner of the Vehicle. "Vehicle" means the motorcycle consigned for sale.

### 1. The service we provide Muturi Malta acts on behalf of the Seller to market and sell the Seller's motorcycle to a third-party buyer. Muturi Malta acts as a selling agent, not as the purchaser of the Vehicle. Title to the Vehicle remains with the Seller until transfer of ownership is completed with the buyer.

### 2. Eligibility The Vehicle is eligible for our consignment service only if: - It is registered in Malta and holds a current, valid Maltese logbook. - The Seller is the legal and registered owner, or holds written authorisation from the registered owner. - Any outstanding finance, hire-purchase or loan secured on the Vehicle has been settled in full, with proof of clearance. - The road licence and VRT are current, or the Seller agrees to renew them prior to listing (at the Seller's cost). - The Vehicle is in a roadworthy and saleable condition consistent with its age and mileage.

### 3. Valuation & your minimum in-hand price Our initial valuation is a good-faith estimate of market value based on the information and photos you provide; it is not a binding offer to buy. At the inspection stage we agree in writing the minimum net amount you want to receive in hand and the markup Muturi Malta adds on top. We will not accept any offer that would net you less than your agreed minimum without your express approval.

### 4. Pricing, markup & our margin We do not work on a percentage commission. The Seller tells us the minimum net amount they want in hand, and we agree a markup on top of that figure. The Vehicle is then listed at the marked-up price (or higher, where the market allows). Our margin is the difference between the Seller's agreed minimum and the final sale price. Because we only earn above the minimum, we are motivated to achieve the best possible price — we sell the Vehicle as if it were our own. The agreed minimum and markup are recorded in writing before any marketing begins.

### 5. Marketing costs & no-sale, no-fee guarantee Muturi Malta meets all marketing costs associated with selling the Vehicle, including photography, walkaround video, advertising, listing fees and paid placement on our channels. The Seller is not charged for any marketing work, whether or not the Vehicle ultimately sells. **No sale, no fee.** If the Vehicle does not sell during the consignment period, the Seller owes Muturi Malta nothing for valuation, marketing, photography or listing. The only exception is the early-withdrawal fee in clause 6, where the Seller pulls the Vehicle out before the end of the term. **Optional motorcycle detailing — €100.** The Seller may request a full showroom-ready detail of the Vehicle before photography and listing, charged at a fixed €100 (VAT inclusive). This is entirely optional and is agreed in writing before the work is carried out. Any other optional preparation (servicing, repairs, VRT renewal) is quoted separately and agreed in advance.

### 6. Listing term & withdrawal The Vehicle is consigned to Muturi Malta for a maximum period of 6 weeks. During this time we market the Vehicle through our website, social media channels and buyer network. If the Vehicle has not sold by the end of the 6-week period, the agreement ends and the Vehicle is returned to the Seller, or the parties may agree in writing to extend for a further period. The Seller may withdraw the Vehicle earlier by giving 7 days' written notice. If the Vehicle is withdrawn after marketing work has begun, the Seller pays a withdrawal fee of €150 toward photography and administration. If a sale to a buyer introduced by Muturi Malta completes within 90 days after withdrawal, our agreed margin remains payable.

### 7. Disclosure of condition The Seller must disclose, fully and honestly, the Vehicle's known condition, service history, mileage, any accident or theft history, outstanding recalls, and any known defects or faults. The Seller warrants that the mileage is accurate and that the Vehicle is not subject to any undisclosed third-party claim, finance or encumbrance. Misrepresentation entitles Muturi Malta to terminate the agreement immediately and, where a sale has completed, to recover any losses from the Seller.

### 8. Possession, viewings & test rides During the listing term the Vehicle is held at our premises in Mtarfa so we can host viewings and test rides. The Vehicle remains the Seller's property and is held at the Seller's risk for physical loss while in our custody, save for our own negligence. Test rides are supervised by our staff and permitted only for serious, verified buyers who produce a valid motorcycle licence and proof of insurance. We will not release the Vehicle for any unaccompanied or unsupervised ride.

### 9. Insurance while on consignment The Seller is responsible for keeping the Vehicle insured and licensed while it remains registered in the Seller's name. Muturi Malta's premises and demonstration activities are covered by our own motor trade insurance for third-party liability during supervised test rides. The Seller should confirm with their own insurer that the policy permits the Vehicle to be held for sale and test-ridden by a dealer.

### 10. Marketing & pricing discretion Muturi Malta decides the advertising channels, presentation and day-to-day pricing adjustments to achieve a sale, always respecting the agreed minimum in-hand price. We may list the Vehicle on our website, social media, classified platforms and our buyer network, and may photograph and film the Vehicle for marketing purposes.

### 11. Accepting an offer & completing the sale We will not accept any offer without the Seller's approval. Once an offer is accepted, the buyer pays a non-refundable deposit to Muturi Malta to secure the Vehicle. The full balance, transfer of ownership and Transport Malta paperwork are then coordinated by us. The Seller must sign the relevant logbook and transfer documents and provide the original keys and documents.

### 12. Buyer finance As an authorised dealer, Muturi Malta may offer the buyer finance on the Vehicle through Finance House or Bank of Valletta (BOV). This is a key advantage of selling through us rather than privately, as it widens the pool of able buyers. The finance agreement is between the buyer and the lender; Muturi Malta facilitates the application and processing. The Seller is not a party to the finance agreement and has no liability under it.

### 13. Payout The Seller receives their agreed minimum in-hand amount by bank transfer to their nominated Maltese bank account, paid the moment the buyer's funds clear — whether by cash, bank transfer or finance payout from Finance House or BOV. Where the Vehicle sells above the agreed minimum, any margin due to Muturi Malta per clause 4 is settled at the same time. Any agreed preparation charges are itemised and shown on the settlement statement before payout.

### 14. Buyer warranty & sold-as-seen Used Vehicles are sold on a "sold as seen, tried and approved" basis. Muturi Malta gives no warranty to the buyer on behalf of the Seller beyond any remaining manufacturer warranty that transfers with the Vehicle. The Seller authorises Muturi Malta to sign the buyer's order form on the Seller's behalf reflecting this basis of sale.

### 15. Limitation of liability Muturi Malta's liability to the Seller in connection with this agreement is limited to the amount of margin earned on the sale. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or delay in achieving a sale, except where caused by our negligence or wilful default. We do not guarantee a sale within any specific timeframe or at any specific price.

### 16. Data protection (GDPR) The Seller's personal data is processed by Muturi Malta solely for the purpose of marketing and selling the Vehicle, completing the transfer of ownership, and maintaining records. We do not share the Seller's data with third parties other than as required to complete the sale and the Transport Malta paperwork. The Seller may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their data at any time by contacting us at muturimalta@gmail.com.

### 17. Governing law & disputes This agreement is governed by the laws of Malta. Any dispute arising from or in connection with it shall, where possible, be resolved amicably between the parties. Failing resolution, the matter shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Maltese courts. ---
